Location
Two war memorials stand in the heart of
the modern shopping centre of Winsford, Cheshire.
This memorial to those lost in the Boer War,
and another
commemorating those who fell in the two world wars.
Description
A white stone plinth supporting a statue of a soldier.
Marble panels name those of Winsford who fell in the Boer War 1899 - 1902.
Inscription
WINSFORD MEN WHO DIED WHILST SERVING THIS MEMORIAL WAS UNVEILED BY "Erected by public subscription."
