Was in the sports pavilion, on Newtonhurst sports field, adjacent to Newton Mill, Newton, Hyde.
The pavilion no longer exists.
The present whereabouts of the memorial are unknown.
Description
A memorial tablet naming the employees of Newton Mill who fell in the first world war.
An article in the North Cheshire Herald, dated 19th August 1922, says that
130 employees of Newton Mill served in the First World War, of whom 15 fell.
It then lists the following 16 names as being recorded on the memorial.
